Jon Collins talks about what it was like in Portland during WWII and the impact the training camps had on the city. The pictures relate to what Mr. Collins was talking about during his interview. The picture of his uncle Julius Webb, of the 1st Army 32nd Armour Regiment, was taken by the famous war correspondent Ernie Pyle, the second picture. The last picture is of the soldiers on main street in Portland during their down time.
